How to Use the Patio Heater

Setting Up the Patio Heater:

  1. Choose the Right Location:

    • Flat Surface: Place the patio heater on a flat, stable surface away from any flammable materials. It’s important that the area around the heater is clear to allow proper airflow and ventilation.
    • Outdoor Use Only: This patio heater is designed for outdoor use only. Do not use it indoors or in enclosed spaces.
  2. Fueling the Heater:

    • Gas Connection: Ensure that the heater is connected to a propane tank (or other fuel source, depending on the model). Check that the propane tank is securely attached to the heater’s gas line.
    • Check Fuel Level: Before lighting the heater, make sure there’s enough fuel in the tank to run the heater for the desired amount of time.
  3. Turning on the Patio Heater:

    • Ignition: Depending on the model, there may be an ignition button or a separate lighter to spark the burner. Press the ignition button (or use a match/lighter) while turning the gas control knob to the “ON” position.
    • Adjusting the Flame: Once the heater is lit, you can adjust the flame height using the control knob to achieve your desired heat output.

Using the Patio Heater:

  1. Heat Adjustment:

    • Control the Temperature: Use the control knob to adjust the intensity of the heat. Turn it clockwise for more heat and counterclockwise for less heat.
    • Safety Tip: Never leave the heater unattended while it's on.
  2. Safety Shut-Off:

    • Automatic Shut-Off: Many patio heaters come equipped with a safety shut-off feature in case of tipping. If the heater tips over, the gas supply will automatically shut off.
    • Manual Turn-Off: To manually turn off the heater, turn the gas control knob all the way to the “OFF” position. Always ensure the heater is completely off before leaving it unattended.

Turning Off the Patio Heater:

  1. Shut Off Gas Supply:

    • Turn Off Gas: Once you’re finished using the heater, turn the gas supply valve to the “OFF” position. This ensures that no gas is being released when the heater is not in use.
  2. Turn Off the Ignition:

    • Turn Knob to Off: For models with an ignition button, make sure the gas control knob is in the “OFF” position. This will stop the flow of gas to the burner and shut off the flame.
  3. Storage:

    • Let it Cool Down: Allow the heater to cool down before storing it. Do not attempt to move or store the heater while it is still hot.
    • Store in a Safe Place: When not in use, store the patio heater in a dry, safe location. If possible, cover it to protect it from the elements and prolong its lifespan.

Safety Tips:

  • Ventilation: Ensure that the area is well-ventilated to avoid carbon monoxide buildup. Never use a patio heater in an enclosed space.

End of Rental and Pickup:

  • After using the patio heater, please make sure to turn it off and allow it to cool down before calling Tubular Inflatables for pickup.
