How to Use Bounce Houses, Combo Units, and Water Slides (Including Overnight Rentals)
Tubular Inflatables provides a variety of inflatable fun options, including Bounce Houses, Combo Units, and Water Slides. These units bring excitement and joy to any event. Below are the instructions for safe usage, important safety precautions, and rules to ensure a fun, safe, and smooth experience for all.
General Usage and Safety Instructions for All Units
-
Supervision:
- Adult supervision is required at all times while children are using the inflatables. A responsible adult must monitor the children’s play to ensure safety.
- Only children who meet the weight and height limits posted on the inflatable unit are allowed to play.
-
Restricted Items:
- No silly string, no red food dye, no glitter, no balloons, and no food or drinks are allowed in or near the inflatable units at any time.
- No tablets, phones, or electronic devices are allowed inside the inflatable units to prevent distractions or injuries.
- No pets are allowed in the units. Animals can damage the equipment or cause discomfort.
- No shoes are allowed in the inflatable units. This helps protect the inflatable material and prevents injuries.
- No glasses unless medically necessary. Glasses can break, posing a safety risk, and may also damage the unit.
-
Unauthorized Additives:
- Never add any soap, detergent, or other substances to the water or inflatable units.
- Dish soap, shampoo, or any other substances can cause the unit to become slippery and potentially dangerous, making riders go too fast. This increases the risk of slamming into the bottom of the unit or causing damage to the inflatable.
- Adding unauthorized substances can also stain the unit, weaken the seams or material, and void any damage protection or warranties.
-
Weight and Occupancy Limits:
- Check the weight limits and maximum number of participants allowed in the unit. These limits are posted on the inflatable unit for your reference.
- Never exceed the weight or participant limit, as doing so can cause the inflatable to become unstable and increase the risk of injury.
-
Safe Play:
- Only enter through the designated entrance. Never climb or exit through the sides.
- No rough play, flips, or wrestling. Keep jumps and movements controlled to prevent accidents.
- Ensure safe entry and exit: Only one person should enter or exit at a time to avoid falls or accidents.
How to Use the Bounce House, Combo Units, and Water Slides
Bounce House
-
Entering and Playing:
- Enter and exit through the designated entrance. Encourage children to use one at a time when entering or exiting.
- Inside, children should play calmly, keeping their jumps controlled to avoid bouncing against the walls or each other.
- No roughhousing, flips, or stunts. Keep the bouncing playful and safe.
-
Safety Tip:
- Check the weight limit and number of participants for the bounce house. Typically, this is 6-8 children of similar size and weight. Refer to the instructions on the unit for more details.
Combo Units (Bounce House + Slide)
- Bouncing and Sliding:
- Children should bounce inside the designated bounce area.
- Slide carefully: Slide down feet-first and one at a time. Never climb the slide or enter the slide area until the child before you has fully exited.
- Safety Tip:
- Weight limits apply to both the bouncing area and the slide. Always refer to the posted limits for safety.
Water Slides
-
Water Usage:
- The slide needs a continuous stream of water to ensure a smooth, slippery surface.
- Only clean water should be used in the slide to avoid bacteria buildup or contamination.
-
Sliding:
- Children should slide down feet-first only and exit quickly at the bottom to make way for others.
- No jumping or rough play at the top or bottom of the slide.
- Make sure children are playing safely by not creating hazards in the water area (i.e., pooling or splashing).
-
Overnight Rentals:
- Shut off the water first before turning off the blower. Ensure the slide is fully drained before turning off the blower to avoid water damage and mold buildup.
- Leave the blower running overnight (unless it is an emergency or wind-related stoppage).
- Always check the inflatable before turning off the blower to ensure it is properly deflated for safe transport.
Important Additional Safety Precautions
-
Weather Conditions:
- Do not allow play during high winds, thunderstorms, or heavy rain. Winds over 20 mph can be dangerous for inflatable units.
- If weather conditions change, evacuate the inflatable immediately and turn off the blower. Remove children from the unit and ensure safety.
-
Maintain the Inflatable Unit:
- Check for any damage or signs of wear during use. If you notice anything wrong with the unit, stop the play immediately and contact Tubular Inflatables for assistance.
- Be mindful of debris in or around the inflatable unit. Clean up any materials like leaves, twigs, or trash that could cause damage or interfere with the safety of the unit.
-
Exiting the Unit:
- Children should exit one at a time, especially from the slide or bounce area. Encourage them to move away from the unit promptly to allow others to enter.
Ending the Rental Period
- Shut off water supply first: If you have rented a water slide, make sure to turn off the water supply before you turn off the blower.
- Keep the blower on: For all other inflatables (bounce houses and combo units), the blower should remain on until the rental period ends unless there’s an emergency or weather-related stoppage.
- Dry and Clear the Area: If the rental is for overnight use, ensure that the area surrounding the inflatable is free of debris, water, or obstacles before we arrive for pickup.
- We will handle the tear-down and removal of the inflatable unit. Please ensure the area is accessible for pickup.
By Following These Guidelines, You Ensure the Safety and Longevity of Your Rental.
